Family Fun Stuff for School Vacation Week

With Winter Break just around the corner I decided to take a little break from my regular investment blogs and focus on some family fun activities coming to the area over the school vacation week.

The biggest and speaking from my experience the best is the 24^th annual WinterFest in Newport.  It is a full week’s worth of family fun activities at a reasonable cost(many even free).  You can tour some mansions, build a marshmallow snowman, ice skate, take a seal watch cruise and so much more.  Check out   http://www.newportevents.com/winterfest/  for more info.

The 3^rd Annual Children’s Film Festival kicks off on February 16^th.  This festival features six days of movie showings at 3 different locations.  Many showings are free and more information including a complete schedule can be found here.  http://www.pcffri.org/
